Should Letterman be fired?

12585__letterman_l

If Don Imus was fired for calling a female basketball team a bunch of “nappy-headed hos,” shouldn’t David Letterman be fired for his troglodyte comment about Sarah Palin’s daughter?

To wit: “One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game, during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez.”

I wonder how Letterman would feel if he had a kid after he knocked up some broad?

Oh, wait.

He did and he does.

  1. No, not fired – ignored or boycotted. I remembering (live) hearing Rush making unfortunate tastelss remarks about 13 year old Chelsea’s looks. An apology would be in or for Letterman.

    Fire the writers
Dave just reads whats on the cue cards.

  4. TDC says:

Letterman should apologize and yes he should be fired.

Why? I do not believe that children should ever be fair game.

    DAVID LETTERMAN’S HATE, etc. !

Speaking of anti-Semitism, it’s Jerry Falwell and other fundy leaders who’ve gleefully predicted that in the future EVERY nation will be against Israel (an international first?) and that TWO-THIRDS of all Jews will be killed, right?
Wrong! It’s the ancient Jewish prophet Zechariah who predicted all this in the 13th and 14th chapters of his book! The last prophet, Malachi, explains the reason for this future Holocaust that’ll outdo even Hitler’s by stating that “Judah hath dealt treacherously” and “the Lord will cut off the man that doeth this” and asks “Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother?”
Haven’t evangelicals generally been the best friends of Israel and Jewish persons? Then please explain the recent filthy, hate-filled, back-stabbing tirades by David Letterman (and Sandra Bernhard) against a leading evangelical named Sarah Palin, and explain why most Jewish leaders have seemingly condoned Palin’s continuing “crucifixion”!
While David and Sandra are tragically turning comedy into tragedy, they are also helping to speed up and fulfill the Final Holocaust a la Zechariah and Malachi, thus helping to make the Bible even more believable!

  6. [...] is a pig. Can you imagine the uproar if someone like, say, Don Imus or anyone on Fox News were to crack the same kind of joke about one of the Obama girls? Just goes to show you just how the looney Liberal Left thinks. [...]

  7. Atlaswar says:

Hmmmm…I like knowing that Dave is squirming. His writers are likely being treated to a 5-star day spa in Mecca right now.

Sorry Letter(head) you could have said no to that jab. If you are trying to build some sort-of idiotic ‘remember me’ portfolio, leave out the blue humor. I don’t think your heart could handle much more.

  8. Mike Murray says:

Yeah, that Letterman’s some piece of work.

Told him what I think of him in an open letter: http://emmeffemm.com/id163.html

  9. Y says:

    Should Letterman be fired?
    You betcha!

  10. James Shott says:

And Letterman’s “apology” was perhaps more insulting and troublesome than the original slur.

  11. Michael Woods says:

Letterman has been over the edge for quite some time. He has become an embarrassment, it is time for this no-class dickhead
to be sent down the road!

  12. mary says:

Yes I think Letterman should go.
Imus got fired for his comnents

  13. I say “no.” First of all, a Fire Dave campaign will simply increase his ratings. Second, it gives Letterman credence that he does not deserve. He’s a clown, a jester, a buffoon, just like those funny dorks on the Comedy Channel. He should be treated like the clown that he is – - just say, “Bad clown! Bad!” and be done with it.
