Tonight’s headlines read: Obama heckled by GOP during speech to Congress.
Was it a heckle or a call to tell the truth!
WASHINGTON – The nastiness of August reached from the nation’s town halls into the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday as President Barack Obama tried to move his health care plan forward.
South Carolina Republican Rep. Joe Wilson shouted “You lie!” after Obama had talked about illegal immigrants.
It wasn’t the only interruption during Obama’s speech to a joint session of Congress in the House of Representatives. Earlier, Republicans laughed when Obama acknowledged that there are still significant details to be worked out before a health overhaul can be passed.
Wilson’s outburst caused Obama to pause briefly before he went on with his speech.

Joe Willson is right and Barack Obama is wrong. The bill doesn’t say “Illegals not covered” or “Non-Citizens are NOT covered under any of these provisions.” If what the president said was true there would be a provision in the bill to show proof of citizenship BEFORE SERVICES ARE RENDERED. Doesn’t exist. Simple as that. Where is the provision that stops our tax dollars from covering people who show up at an emergency room that don’t belong in the system?
Feel free to site the paragraph, prove me wrong and I will retract my words…

I found this on Factcheck.org
Claim: Page 50: All non-US citizens, illegal or not, will be provided with free healthcare services.
False. That’s simply not what the bill says at all. This page includes “SEC. 152. PROHIBITING DISCRIMINATION IN HEALTH CARE,” which says that “[e]xcept as otherwise explicitly permitted by this Act and by subsequent regulations consistent with this Act, all health care and related services (including insurance coverage and public health activities) covered by this Act shall be provided without regard to personal characteristics extraneous to the provision of high quality health care or related services.” However, the bill does explicitly say that illegal immigrants can’t get any government money to pay for health care. Page 143 states: “Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States.” And as we’ve said before, current law prohibits illegal immigrants from participating in government health care programs.
Claim: Page 58: Every person will be issued a National ID Healthcard.
False. There is no mention of any “National ID Healthcard” anywhere in the bill. Page 58 says that government standards for electronic medical transactions “may include utilization of a machine-readable health plan beneficiary identification card,” to show eligibility for services. Insurance companies typically issue such cards already, but if such a standard were issued the cards would need to be in a standard form readable by computers. The word “may” is used to permit such a standard, but it does not require one.

So…
“Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States”
BUT
We aren’t going to do a card check.
So again, is Obama lying?
How about misleading?
Democrats Vote Against Making Sure Illegal Aliens Don’t Get Subsidized Health Insurance
Democrats voted against an amendment offered by Rep. Dean Heller (R-NV) to better screen applicants for subsidized health care to ensure they are actually citizens or otherwise entitled to it. The underlying bill is insufficient for the purpose of preventing illegal aliens from accessing the bill’s proposed benefits, as it does not provide mechanisms allowing those administering the program to ensure illegal aliens cannot access taxpayer-funded subsidies and benefits.
This amendment to provide better verification of eligibility for benefits under the bill was defeated 26-15

In fact if you go here:

ANYTIME the republicans have tried to add stronger language to the bill it has been killed in committee.
Is this Obama’s idea of reaching across the aisle? Reject EVERYTHING that comes from the right?
