“tck tck tck” Idiots sing for Climate Change

Sun

The music world is all riled up again, and this time it’s for “Climate Change.”  Oh, climate change, yeah!!! After the wild success of projects like: USA for Africa, Band Aid, Live Aid, and Farm Aid, they’re now singing for temperature.  All we need now is a big pair of headphones for the sun and … wait … and a spaceship!  A solar powered spaceship!  Brilliant!

Sadly, the artists are lame and the song is not very creative.  They’ve basically taken Midnight Oil’s 1987 hit, “Beds are Burning,” and got a 2nd grader that attended an ALGORE lecture on the end of the world to rewrite the lyrics. Bravo folks, we really are getting dumber.  Here’s some of the lyrics:

The time has come, to take a stand, it’s for the Earth, it’s for our land.  The time has come, a fact’s a fact, the heat is on, no turning back. How can we dance while our Earth is turning? How do we sleep while our beds are burning?  The time has come, to take a stand, it’s for the Earth, it’s for our land.

Listen, the debate is over folks! The heat is on?!?!  A fact’s a fact?!?!  Please, if you’re thinking of buying this recycled garbage, please consider saving up a few dollars for your heating bill this year. El Niño of 2009 says it’s going to be a cold one.

SCORPIONS VOCALIST PART OF CLIMATE CHANGE ALL-STAR RECORDING

October 28, 2009

The clock is ticking – there is not much time left if we want to avoid a climate catastrophe: for this reason, former UN Secretary General and Nobel Peace Prize winner Kofi Annan invited world renowned artists to come together and record a song for the next upcoming climate conference this December in Copenhagen. Just to name a few, stars such as Duran Duran, Lily Allen, Jamie Cullum, Youssou N’Dour and Mark Ronson collaborated on a special interpretation of Midnight Oil’s 1987 hit, “Beds are Burning” – a song about preserving nature.

Germany’s invitation went to none other than Scorpions vocalist Klaus Meine. “It was a huge honor to be invited by Kofi Annan,” said Klaus. “There are not only a dozen worldwide respected musical artists involved in the project, even Nobel Peace Prize winner Bishof Tatu was in the studio!”
