Surprise…Democrats are still pointing fingers at George W. Bush. Seems to me that anything that happens in the Gulf is Bush’s fault. Atlantic Hurricanes, the destruction of black neighborhoods and now add oil rig damage and oil spills. Suggestion to BP, instead of plugging the well with golf balls perhaps they can plug them into Nancy Pelosi’s big stupid mouth. Whether there are “cozy relationships” or not it is pure idiocy to think Democrats in DC would have been able to stop the methane bubble that caused the accident.
Attention Americans: Please help send this embarrassment back into the minority this November!
Pelosi blames Bush administration for BP oil spill.

05/29/10 7:38 AM EDTSpeaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., blamed the Bush administration for any lack of oversight leading up to the Gulf oil spill. The Obama administration, on the other hand, is blameless.
“Many of the people appointed in the Bush administration are still burrowed in the agencies that are supposed to oversee the [oil] industry,” Pelosi said when asked if Democrats could have prevented or mitigated the crisis by keeping a closer watch on the industry.
Added the Speaker, “the cozy relationships between the Bush administration’s agency leadership and the industry is clear…I’ve heard no complaints from my members about the way the president has handled it,” Pelosi stated.
On Friday, the Washington Examiner requested that Speaker Pelosi’s office release the list of Bush appointees to whom she was referring. We’ll let you know when we hear back.

of course it is Bush’s administration fault, he is from oil family and oil companies financed his election which was enentually blutantly stolen anyway. In response he turned blind eye on their violations of major safety issues, gave them tax breaks etc. That president didn’t give damn about regular Americans just only his oil buddies pocketing profits. Obama’s fault was that he didn’t put proper restrictions on oil companies still allowing them do whatever they want to.
you are retarded. blaming bush for an oil spill that happened when he wasnt even in office is like me blaming you for a murder committed in a different country. the person that quit this week because of the oil spill was appointed by obama, not bush, so get over it
Brian, I believe you meant to say was, “individual with an intellectual disability” We wouldn’t want to offend and progressives
Having said that, Dmitry, when you say “his oil buddies pocketing profits”? Do we have names or do we just assume anyone and everyone that makes money from oil? AND if that’s the case can we include those that contribute to Barack Obama and his progressive friends?
I wish someone would plug up her hole!
Well if you think this is Bush’s fault you might as well think that your feet hurt because of Bush. Maybe its even Bush’s fault you don’t have a Yacht and three Mansions. Hey if your going to blame him for the spill why not all of these things?
Republicans in general have had a piss-on-nature attitude for a very long time, constantly fighting against stronger environmental regulations that could have prevented the Gulf oil disaster. Anyone with their eyes and ears open knows this.
It may be hard to blame Bush directly for this particular incident, but nature-snubbing conservatives as a whole a far more culpable than nature-protecting Democrats. Just compare their legacy of pro vs. anti environmental voting records over the past 30+ years. Right-wing indifference to nature really kicked in with Reagan and Watt.
Or, just turn on Rush Limbaugh for an hour or so. You won’t hear one word from him in defense of nature, except to sarcastically make Democrats look like hypocrites; Al Gore bashing, etc.
Far-Right dominion Creationists see nature as an expendable tool in the kit of human commerce. All they care about is growing the economy like a Ponzi scheme and pillaging nature until Jesus returns (or so they think).
Maybe if this thing wasn’t a mile underwater or whatever the hell, it’d be a bit easier to fix.
Oh at least we saved a couple penguins or whatever on land and saved nature
